Not all scuba divers are aware of things related to scuba diving. But all of them should be conscious of all these important things. Here are the things that every diver must know:
1. Never Touch During Scuba Diving
It can be very tempting to touch the beautiful coral or a turtle while it goes past you. But DO NOT TOUCH! You have no idea the level of damage you might cause. Be a sustainable diver. Otherwise, you can scare the marine life. Even you can also face any type of aggressive behavior from the sea creatures.
2. Watch Out Your Fins
Yes, keep a good watch on your fins. If you are new to diving, you have no idea where your fins are going. It won’t be too easy to control fins. You may break some sea elements or kick someone in the face without control. If you feel that you have hit something, just stop there. Look what happened and then you better stroke with your hands instead of fins. It all depends on your finning techniques as well as knowing your placement underwater. You should spend a good amount of time to practice your possession and your finning techniques. It is better if you practice on sandy bottoms.
3. Buoyancy Skills For Scuba Diving
For a diver, it is one of the crucial skills to master. While you want to go up during diving, you must breath-in and for going down breath out. Use the BCD for depth changes. For mastering in buoyancy skills, you just have to do your practice and more practice.
4. Always Keep A Watch On Your Air
It might seem obvious, but still, always remember to monitor the air. You must do it very often during your dive. It’s never a waste of time when you have to manage your air. It will help you in the long run with more time to dive.
5. Do Not Exceed Your Limits
Even when you find the best reason to do a dive or go deeper into the water, please don’t. Never exceed how much you can go into diving. You must not attempt a way too harder dive when you are a beginner. It may result in decompression sickness. Yes, the extreme sickness during diving. Now is it worthy of so much risk when you are not still adapted to such extreme? Before attempting such depth take right training.
6. Don’t Follow Any Peer Pressure
You should not dive if you are not feeling confident enough about a particular scuba diving plan. Don’t listen to any peer pressure about what is right for you. You must hold the right to decide for yourself.
7. Don’t Hold Breath
In scuba diving, breathing is the most important thing. Don’t think that holding your breath to save air will extend your time for diving. So, you must not waste your time underwater, holding your breath. In reality, it doesn’t give you extra dive time, and it also can become too dangerous.
8. Scuba Diving Gears
Always take care of your scuba diving gears. Those gears will take good care of you. Don’t go carefree about the maintenance of diving equipment. If it is been a long time from your last gear check-up, then you must not neglect to check before your next dive.
